Paris Hilton's My new BFF , or My new BFF (= best friend forever) for short, is an American reality show in which Paris Hilton is looking for a new best friend. 16 women and two men fight in various competitions and tasks to become the new friend of the It girl .
background
At the beginning of 2008 it became known that the music broadcaster MTV was planning a reality show with Hilton in which she was looking for a new best friend. The show aired in the United States from September to December 2008. During the final episode on December 2, 2008, the winner, Brittany Flickinger, was announced.
On January 6, 2009, the show was broadcast for the first time in Germany.
In 2009, the New York Post announced that Paris Hilton had signed a contract for a second season of the US version.
British version
Due to the high audience numbers in the US, a British version of the show was filmed in London in late 2008, in which Hilton is looking for a new best British friend. The show is called Paris Hilton's British Best Friend and has aired in the UK since late January 2009. '
German version
In autumn 2009 ProSieben showed a similar program with model Gina-Lisa Lohfink . Lohfink was also looking for a new best friend. The show was called Gina-Lisa's Best Buddy and was featured in We are Family! -Block broadcast.
