background

Take It Off was written by Lukasz Gottwald (Dr. Luke), Claude Kelly and Kesha and produced by Lukasz Gottwald with vocal transcription by Emily. The song is a peppy dance-pop / electro-pop song.

Music video

The video premiere in Germany took place on August 5, 2010 at MyVideo . The video producers are Paul Hunter and Dori Oskowitz. During an interview, Kesha said of her idea for this video: “The video is about me and all my Hot Babe Vapire friends in a hotel on another planet. There they all transform into beautiful stardust. "

At the beginning of the video you can see Kesha on a motorcycle . Then she walks, followed by her friends, through a shabby area to a motel on another planet . The friends run, dance and jump across the grounds while Kesha is by an old, rusted car. When everyone gathers around an empty pool in the motel, they juggle and tear each other's clothes. When Kesha arrives and rolls around in the sand, her friends begin to crumble into stardust, and then Kesha herself crumbles too.

A second video was also produced for the song, in which Kesha and friends (including Jeffree Star ) appear from her. In the video, the dancers are sometimes shown as animals, which is an allusion to the name of the album "Animal". Kesha herself can be seen as a cheetah at the beginning of the video and at the end. The video was posted on Kesha's YouTube channel on October 7, 2010 .
