The Vector Arena is an arena in Auckland , New Zealand . The arena is intended to be used for sports and music events . Construction of the Vector Arena began in 2006 and ended in 2007, at a total cost of 80 million New Zealand dollars (NS $). The arena is also used by the New Zealand Breakers ( NBL ) basketball team . The rock band Rock Star Supernova gave the first concert in the arena on March 24, 2007.
Events
Since 2007, many singers have given concerts in the arena, including P! Nk , Justin Timberlake , Rihanna and Kylie Minogue .
