The Jyske Bank Kasten is a multi-purpose hall opened in 2010 after two years of construction in the Danish city ​​of Herning . The arena offers space for concerts for up to 15,000 visitors. The owner is the MCH Group, which also operates the MCH Arena football stadium , the Herning Congress Center and the Herning Exhibition Center.

Sports events (selection)

The 2010 European Women's Handball Championship took place here . The 31st European Table Tennis Championships also took place here in October 2012. In August 2013, the arena will serve as the second venue for the 2013 European Dressage and Show Jumping Championships . In 2014, Jyske Bank Kasten was the venue for some preliminary and main round matches as well as the final round of the 2014 European Handball Championship . In the Men's Handball Women's World Cup in 2015 , among others, the final round in Jyske Bank was held boxes. In 2018 the hall, next to the Royal Arena in Copenhagen , was the venue for the men's ice hockey world championship .

Concerts (selection)

On October 20, 2010, Lady Gaga opened the arena with a concert as part of her Monster Ball Tour . On February 19, 2011 the first concert of the Aphrodite World Tour: Les Folies by the Australian singer Kylie Minogue took place here.

On April 1, 2011 Justin Bieber gave a concert as part of the My World Tour . Britney Spears gave a concert in the arena on October 11th of the same year during her Femme Fatale tour . On February 22, 2012 Rammstein played a concert of their Made in Germany 1995-2011 European tour here . The German singer Helene Fischer also performed here several times in front of a nearly sold out house. The American heavy metal band Metallica also performed here.

Jyske Bank Kasten, the venue for the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2013 and 2017 , applied to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 , but lost to B&W Hallerne at the Refshaleøen location in Copenhagen in September 2013 .
