Peja (also Rychu Peja SoLUfka, Charlie P .; actually Ryszard Andrzejewski ; born September 17, 1976 in Poznan ) is a Polish rapper .

Career

Peja grew up in a working-class family in the Jersitz district of Poznan; he recorded his first demo tapes at home.

In 1993 he founded the Polish rap crew Slums Attack (also known as SLU GANG ) with his rap colleague Marcin Kostrzewski ( Ajsmen ). When Ajsmen left the group, Dariusz Działek ( DJ Decks ) joined them, with whom he continued the Slums Attack project. As Slums Attack, Peja has released seven albums so far. Peja founded the hip-hop group Ski Skład together with Łukasz Wiśniewski ( Wisnix ) in 2000, which split up in 2004 after an album.

In 2002 Peja and Slums Attack was named for their album Na legalu? awarded the most important Polish music prize, Fryderyk . In 2009 the album Styl życia G'NOJA received a gold record .
