The Orson is a German hip-hop - group . It consists of the rappers Tua , Kaas , Maeckes and Bartek . The group is under contract with the Stuttgart label Chimperator Productions as well as with the major label Universal .

style

The trademark of the Orsons is the reversal of unwritten hip-hop rules combined with a lot of irony, fantasy and sarcasm. In contrast to the current “German rap principle”, the Orsons use attributes such as “sweet”, “beautiful”, “dear” or even pink colors in the artwork to specifically provoke.

Career

The Orsons appeared for the first time on the mixtape Als waers the album by the duo Maeckes & Plan B in appearance. For this, the four rappers recorded the title Orson's Little Farm . On the following debut album by Maeckes & Plan B, another song by the quartet can be heard. The piece Orson's big barn was created after Tua had been signed to the Deluxe Records label and Kaas to Optik Records . In May 2008 the musicians did a tour together. This was completed under the name Almost Like Las Vegas Tour. On July 25, 2008, the group released their first album The Album . The sound carrier polarized strongly and was received by the critics mixed. In a review , the e-zine Laut.de only gave the album two out of a possible five evaluation points, while the hip-hop magazine Juice awarded 4.5 out of a possible 6 “crowns”. The album was produced by producers Beat'Em Up, Flash Gordon, Dirty Dasmo, Mia and Christyle.

At the end of 2008 Kaas signed a contract with the label Chimperator Productions , which also serves as a platform for the duo Maeckes and Plan B for publications. On October 16, 2009 the second album by The Orsons was released under the title For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, Orsons for ever . A video for Souljah Boy , a "remake" of Turn My Swag On by Soulja Boy , had been released in advance . Various US websites referred to the piece. Soulja Boy also posted the video on his YouTube channel. From October 15th to October 22nd, 2009 the group completed a tour called Aqua Robot Tour 2009 with performances in eight different cities. The Orsons had been looking for an opening act for six cities , for which the opportunity was given to apply. In Stuttgart the hip-hop group was supported by Olli Banjo , in Cologne by the duo Huss and Hodn .

At the end of 2009 the band played in the opening act for Fettes Brot on their tour. In February 2010 the 11 year Chimperator Tour with Kodimey and Vasee followed . From April 29th to May 10th 2010 Kaas, Maeckes, Tua and Plan B again formed the opening act for ten concerts of Fettes Brot. In July 2011 the group received a contract with the record company Universal . In 2012, the group appeared as the opening act for Herbert Grönemeyer on his ship traffic tour through Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. They were also from the end of March to mid-April 2012 together with Kool Savas , Olli Banjo , Laas Unltd. , Moe Mitchell and Buddy Ogün on a concert tour under the motto The League of Extraordinary Mcees . In 2012 they recorded the song Horst & Monika together with the rapper Cro . It tells the true story of the former NPD member Horst Strub, who became a woman through a gender reassignment operation and stood as Monika Strub for the party Die Linke in the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2011 . The Transsexuality and Human Rights campaign saw the piece of music as a “mocking song about transsexual people”, which violated the feelings of many people affected and the personal rights of Monika, which was sung about in the song, whereupon they filed a criminal complaint. The song was then broadcast as a contribution from the Saarland to the Bundesvision Song Contest 2012 , despite a request for an omission . On the same day of the Bundesvision Song Contest 2012, the third album, The Chaos and the Order , was released, with which the Orsons went on a successful tour of Germany a short time later under the motto Das Chaos und die Orsons . The album entered the charts at number 12 and the tour continued from January.

In 2015 the song Ventilator was used for a Jägermeister commercial . In December 2017, the Munich Regional Court I dismissed a lawsuit against Die Orsons for alleged personal and copyright infringement. In the song Schwung in die Kiste , the group had used a sample with the voice of a showwoman. The court ruled that the phrase "Yes, and now, now bring ma swing back into the box, hey off you go, let's go, let's fetz, full speed, full power, wow, great!" Lack of originality not a protected work in According to § 2 of the Copyright Act .
