history
The Trailerpark music label was founded in 2009. At the beginning he included the band DNP (Beatmasta and Sebastian "Basti" Krug), the rapper duo Pimpulsiv (Skinny Shef and Timi Hendrix ), Sudden and, soon after, Dana. On August 21, 2009, Pimpulsiv's album H.URZ was released for the first time under the label. On December 5, 2009 the sampler Crackstreet Boys was released , which contains features by Greckoe , JAW , Johnzen, Manny Marc , Meister Elch, Patrick on purpose and Smoky . It comprises six tracks and five bonus tracks . The title is a play on words with the name of the American boy group Backstreet Boys . In 2010 the albums Hepatitis P by Pimpulsiv and Romantic Asshole by Sudden were released. The album Bis one cries by DNP entered the German album charts on August 5th, 2011 at number 85 .
In 2011, Skinny Shef ended his career as a rapper to concentrate on his studies. This also meant the end for Pimpulsiv. Timi Hendrix, however, stayed with the label. In the same year, Alligatoah became a new member. The album Crackstreet Boys 2 was released on October 19, 2012 . It reached number 22 in Germany on November 2, 2012 and number 62 in the Austrian album charts. Compared to the sampler Crackstreet Boys , Crackstreet Boys 2 followed the concept of a band project in which Alligatoah, Basti, Sudden and Timi Hendrix were also involved with a solo track each. Nine of the 13 tracks were indexed in August 2013 by the federal inspection agency for media harmful to minors. Features are Beatmasta in Still doesn't care , Dana in Fledermausland and Rolf as well as KIZ and Massimo in U-Bahn Schläger . Fledermausland achieved gold status in Germany in 2018 . After the album was released, Beatmasta and Dana no longer appeared as members of the label.
On August 2, 2013, the solo album Triebwerke von Alligatoah was released. As the first album released by Trailerpark, it reached number one in the German album charts on August 16, 2013, as well as gold status in 2014 and platinum status in 2018 . On August 27, 2014, the single Stay in School from the new band album Crackstreet Boys 3 was published. It reached number 35 in the German single charts . After the second single Dicks sucken on October 10, 2014, the 13-track album was released on December 5, 2014, which was ranked 57th in Switzerland on December 14th and fourth in Germany on December 19th 13 entered the Austrian album charts. In Germany, Bleib in der Schule was awarded gold in 2016 and platinum in 2019, and the album also achieved gold status in 2018. The year 2015 was dominated by solo albums by the Trailerpark members: Superpowers by Sudden on May 6, 2015 was followed by two rooms, a kitchen, a bong by Timi Hendrix and on November 27, 2015 Music is no solution by Alligatoah.
In the run-up to its release, three tracks were decoupled as singles from the fourth band album TP4L : Poverty drives young people into pop music on August 2, Finally normal people on August 20 and the title track TP4L on September 27, 2017. The album was released on August 20. October 2017 and entered the German album charts at number one on October 27, 2017 . In Austria TP4L reached number three, in Switzerland number 43 in the album charts. The fourth single, which was released on the same day as the album, You can die everywhere , came in at number 37 in the German charts and at number 49 in the Austrian single charts. On July 27th 2018 Timi Hendrix released his second solo album Tim Weitkamp Das Musical . Later in the year, Sleeping Pills, Red Wine V by Alligatoah came out on September 14th, and You Need Me from Sudden on November 2nd . Schlaftabletten, Rotwein V was the second Alligatoah album after Triebwerke to reach number one in the German album charts .
On August 9, 2019, the band announced their separation on facebook while the label continued to exist :
“The parties should be celebrated while they are still fun and it is best to leave the party at the climax. Trailerpark has always been a superlative band with a knack for the right dose of humor, rebellion and crack. After four albums, various gold and platinum awards and a whole series of pregnant teenagers, the end of the flagpole is deep-throated. [...] Go when it is most beautiful, which unfortunately many other bands have missed. "
In 2021 there will be five farewell concerts in Stuttgart , Dortmund , Hamburg , Cologne and Berlin under the motto Golden End .
style
The band Trailerpark - like its members - belongs to the genres German rap and hip-hop . She is often compared to KIZ and the 257ers in terms of her musical style . However, in an interview with 16Bars broadcast on YouTube in 2012, Basti said that the three bands did not necessarily serve different target groups, but produced different music: “If so, then we are more likely to be compared with KIZ than the 257ers, because that is [ in terms of content] really just slapstick. And at KIZ it's just political and we are drugs and apolitical. ”At best one would like to be compared with the Bloodhound Gang . In his review of the studio album TP4L in October 2017, Dominik Lippe from laut.de stated that the talent gap within the formation has always been “the most eye-catching feature of trailer parks”; typical are the "catchy hook of the all-rounder Alligatoah" as well as "some stanzas by Basti, Sudden and Timi Hendrix filled with supposedly lyrical taboo breaks". In terms of content, Trailerpark was all about cocaine , coprophilia and child abuse . Laura Sprenger explained to Crackstreet Boys 3 in December 2014 that the band was “celebrating their image to the extreme” and cited the hookline from the track Wrong Band as an example : “If you are one of those people for whom the belt is a limit, [...] we are the wrong band for you!
