Tim Weitkamp The Musical is the second studio album by the German rapper Timi Hendrix . It was released on July 27, 2018 under the Trailerpark music label .
background
Timi Hendrix had already completed a subsequent album for Zwei Zimmer, Küche, Bong more than a year before the release of Tim Weitkamp Das Musical . Due to the suicide of a friend of the artist, he revised the album again. The release of the album was announced on YouTube on May 30, 2018 for July 27, 2018. In the run-up to the event, My Musical is running on June 8th and a thousand second chances on July 6th were released as videos. Music videos for We Are Family also appeared on July 27th and 1 million knives on August 1st.
Tim Weitkamp , included in the title of the album, is the artist's real name.

Reviews
The editors of laut.de rated Tim Weitkamp Das Musical with three out of five possible stars. Stefan Mertlik wrote in his review of the album:
“Every single line was created without a pen and paper in my head. The music is more reminiscent of Eminem than of Jay-Z, who also does without pen and paper . 18 years after the " Marshall Mathers LP " was released, Slim Shady's masterpiece still seems to be the number one source of inspiration for Tim Shady. Both reach into the bottom drawer and make fun of the celebrity world under the influence of drugs. On “Tim Weitkamp” Timi draws level with the Detroit man on a personal level by making his past and his emotional world a topic. [...] Trailer park fans who, after the first video release, felt the fear of being served soul striptease instead of antisociality, can calmly reach for the bong. Timi Hendrix still sounds like Timi Hendrix. "
The editorial staff of Tonspion also awarded three out of five stars. She also stated that the positive surprises predominate, but that "a little more consistency and inventiveness" would be desired for the third album:
“Actually, Timi Hendrix's second solo album shows as many facets as no other release before. Both the taboo-breaking crack street boy from Trailerpark and Pimpulsiv formation as well as the person Tim Weitkamp have their say over the 18 tracks - sometimes more, sometimes less witty. The album reached number three (2 weeks) on the German album charts on August 3, 2018 . In Switzerland it was ranked 71st (1 week) on August 5, 2018, and ranked 24th (1 week) in Austria on August 10, 2018 (1 week) in the album charts. Compared to the previous album Zwei Zimmer, Küche, Bong , the rankings in Germany and Switzerland improved.
