Crackstreet Boys 2 is the second label sampler from the independent label Trailerpark . It was published on October 19, 2012 and was indexed on August 2, 2013 by the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People (BPjM). The X version of the album, published on August 21, 2014, consists of the four tracks that are not affected by the indexing.

background

In 2009 the first sampler was released, an extended play with the bands Pimpulsiv and DNP, which were formerly represented under the label . The second part, on the other hand, is more of a concept album with a band concept that is based on boy bands, but combines this with black humor and provocative lyrics.

The four rappers Alligatoah , Timi Hendrix , Sudden and Basti from DNP are represented on the album . The guest musician on several tracks is Dana, who was already involved in the Pimpulsiv trailer park track and who later withdrew from the music business. The Berlin rappers KIZ and Massimo are also represented in the song U-Bahn Schläger .

All Trailerpark artists are represented on most of the tracks. In addition, all four artists have their own solo track. The beats come from Gee Futuristic , Beatzarre and Jack Fuh , among others .

The limited version in a cardboard box contained the album, a DIN A3 poster, a T-shirt, long papers and a lighter.

Cover

On the cover of the album you can see a tray filled with cocaine, on which Mount Rushmore is shaped. However, not the founding fathers are shown there, but the band members Alligatoah, Basti (DNP), Sudden and Timi Hendrix.

Music genre

In addition to the usual hip-hop, the album is particularly noticeable for its boy band vocal passages. In addition, different styles of music, from dubstep to metal and punk guitars were used in the tracks. Sometimes Trailerpark reminds of their colleagues from KIZ, in the more rocky passages also of Die Ärzte . Trailerpark see themselves more in the tradition of the Bloodhound gang . With all three they also share the desire for provocation and a sense of taboo-breaking black humor. There are passages glorifying drugs as well as flirting with pedophilia and rape. Quotes from Massiv to Money Boy are used for this.

Reviews

Dani Fromm awarded three out of five possible points on Laut.de :

“Rapping male choirs are trendy. There is little that can be said about this, especially since the pinched expression that representatives of the guild had put on for years has apparently become obsolete. It was high time anyway. (...) Alligatoah dances the thieving magpie, his presence of words, images and, again and again, vocal power is the perfect match for the second blow of the Crack Street Boys. Nonetheless, some people might have to resort to the offer, that Sudden submits "Pokémon cards" so courteously in his sappy solo effort. "Babe, if you can't laugh, I'll laugh for you too." The kind of brute humor that rules the trailer park with an iron hand is probably as much for everyone as ... well, yes ... boy bands. "

indexing

The album was indexed by the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People on August 1, 2013 and placed on Part A of the list. The album is therefore prohibited from advertising and may not be made accessible to young people under the age of 18. The reason for the indexing was a total of nine of the 13 songs on the album. The BPjM justified its decision with the fact that “ despite the presence of ironically intended elements (...) several descriptions of violence were classified as brutal and other texts as discriminatory against women ”.

On August 21, 2014 the "Crackstreet Boys II X Version" version of the album was released. This contains the four tracks with the numbers 2, 3, 7 and 13 of the original album that were not objected to by the BPjM. This makes it possible to purchase the four tracks as MP3 downloads or to call them up in music streaming services. A physical version of this variant was published indirectly in the special edition of Crackstreet Boys 3, which was included in the deluxe box.
