Jom & Said
Jom & Said is a German hip-hop duo from Berlin-Kreuzberg .
Career
The group consists of Jom, a German- Nigerian, and Said , whose family comes from Syria . In the mid-1990s, the two rappers met the musician Harris . It was around this time that they became interested in American West Coast hip hop music such as Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube . First appearances therefore consisted of cover versions, which the duo performed in smaller appearances.
Jom & Said founded the group SRK ( So Richtige Kings ) together with TonyTone, Jom's brother, and a few other rappers , which began producing German hip-hop in 1999. Since at least one member of SRK was always in prison during this time, the Berlin group was unable to release an album.
In 2005 Jom & Said were represented for the first time on a sound carrier of the Aggro Berlin label . For the album Your Favorite Album by Sido and Harris, SRK recorded the song Die Sekte and SRK with representatives of the group Die Sekte .
