G-Hot (now also Jihad ), active since 2017 under the artist name Shen (born April 2, 1983 in Berlin ; real name Gökhan Şensan ) is a Turkish-German rapper who used to sell his records via the Aggro Berlin , Yo! Musix and most recently soup inna doll published. Most recently he was under contract with Maskulin Music Group , the label of its discoverer and sponsor Fler .

Life

G-Hot grew up with his Turkish-German parents and has four sisters. His mother is from Germany, his father from Turkey . He met Fler at the age of 12 .

Career

In 2005 G-Hot made a number of guest appearances on Fler's album Neue Deutsche Welle in the area of Aggro Berlin . He was also involved in the top ten hit Jump, Jump (DJ Tomekk is coming) . Before he was signed to the Berlin label in early November 2005, he was active with the Berlin independent label LayUp Records . With colleagues like Boss A and Major he brought out the first sampler for LayUp Records in 2004 with 1200 Bars zum Biten .

In December 2005 the label sampler Aggro Ansage Nr. 5 appeared , on which G-Hot is represented with different contributions. G-Hot's first solo release was the mixtape Aggrogant , which was released on November 17, 2006.

In 2007 G-Hot is again active with old colleagues from LayUp Records . On the myspace page of G -Hot's old label colleague Boss A , a joint album by G-Hot and Boss A is announced. On July 3, 2007, Fler announced in the Aggro Berlin Internet forum that G-Hot had left the label. An official statement dated July 6, 2007 announced that G-Hot's contract with Aggro Berlin had expired in autumn 2006. Since then there have been no more business relationships. However, another video clip was later shown on Aggro TV.

In July 2007 the title "No Tolerance" by G-Hot and the rapper Die Kralle (aka Boss A ) was published online . The track is directed aggressively against gays and openly calls for violence against homosexuals . The song says, among other things, "something like that [didn't] deserve a life", one should "cut their tail off - no tolerance, we do not tolerate fagots". Aggro Berlin then stated in a press release that any further collaboration with G-Hot was excluded. The music broadcaster MTV also announced that it would refrain from broadcasting clips of the rapper in the future. After a temporary statement from Boss A that the title was not intended for the public, an official statement from the label Soup inna Doll appeared less than a week later, despite an announcement to the contrary . It states that the text should be understood as "a malicious and satirical examination of prejudices against homosexuals" and that the "drastic choice of words should only serve to exaggerate common prejudices and thus counter them". Several criminal charges were brought against the publication of the video “No Tolerance” for sedition, including by the openly gay member of the Bundestag Volker Beck . After No Tolerance was posted on YouTube again at the beginning of January 2008 , the LSVD filed a complaint for inciting people against YouTube and G-Hot. The public prosecutor's office in Berlin has meanwhile brought charges against the production and publication of the homophobic and seditious song Keine Toleranz .

In 2008 the album Money Laundering was released , which G-Hot had recorded with MOK . It was produced by Beatzarre and Djorkaeff. On June 20, 2008, his debut album, Das Wunder Von Berlin, was released via Soup Inna Doll . The rappers Kralle, Satanic Steve and Smexer are featured with guest contributions. Production was done by Beatzarre and Coopa.

In July 2011, G-Hot's former sponsor Fler reestablished contact after a four-year break. In the course of this, both recorded songs again, with three pieces for the Fler album Im Bus being created at the very back . At the beginning of September, Kralle announced the separation of G-Hots from Soup inna Doll . The rapper then got a contract with Flers Label Maskulin . In October 2011, the masculine mixtape Vol. 1 was released as the label's first sampler, on which G-Hot had many contributions. A track with Nicone caused problems. The video was uploaded to the clothing brand Thug Life 's YouTube channel , but was removed shortly afterwards. Those responsible had not noticed a diss to Farid Bang and deleted the video afterwards.

He also had guest appearances on the publications Im Bus right back and Südberlin Masculin II . The label's second sampler followed in 2012 and was released on June 1 under the title Masculin Mixtape Vol. 2 . In the same year, the albums Behind Blue Eyes and Die Passion Whiskey were released , on which G-Hot was again featured with guest contributions. In early 2013, Fler released the album Blaues Blut , on which six collaborations with G-Hot can be found. On September 13, 2013, the third sampler of the Maskulin label was released under the title Masculin Mixtape Vol. 3 . The sampler reached number 8 in the German charts. At the beginning of 2014, the masculine Mixtape Vol. 4 reached number 17 in the charts.

At the end of May 2014 the song Kein Gold was put online with Fler. A few weeks later, the Track Businessman appeared again with Fler .

On April 20, 2015, it was announced that G-Hot had been stabbed by a knife and had lost large amounts of blood, which is why he had to be taken to a nearby Berlin hospital.
