Maskulin is an independent label by German rapper Fler , which he founded in 2011. Initially Groove Attack took over the distribution. In 2014 a deal was signed with Sony Music , which was dissolved again in the same year. There has been a contractual regulation on sales with UMG since 2018 . In addition, Masculin is also responsible for the marketing of clothing and fitness products.

Masculine was initially planned under the name Masculin Digital , but Reason also brought out free mixtape White Boys Don't Bring It Out. The music should only be published digitally . These plans were not pursued any further and the label was founded under the name Masculin , which also sells music on physical sound carriers.

The first publications appeared in early 2011. These were the singles Never believed in me and every minute . Fler's sixth solo album Airmax Muzik II was then released . The album reached number 6 in the German charts .

On September 16, 2011, Flers 'seventh solo album Im Bus was published in the back , which landed at number 3 in the German charts and thus was Flers' highest chart position in his solo career up to that point . On October 28, 2011 was published to accompany the album on the bus at the back of the sampler, Masculine Mixtape Vol. 1 In the same year signed the rapper Jihad and Silla in Masculine.

On March 9, 2012 the collaboration album Südberlin Masculin II by Fler and Silla, which is the continuation of the album of the same name from 2008, and which was able to occupy 6th place in the German album charts. At the beginning of 2012, the rappers Nicone and Dizztino were signed to Maskulin. The label's second sampler, Masculin Mixtape Vol. 2 , was released later .

On November 2, 2012, Fler published the southern rap / crunk album Behind Blue Eyes , in which he dealt with wealth, luxury goods, women, clothing and cars. The American rapper French Montana was also featured as a guest post. The album was treated very controversially by some parts of its audience, as Fler had completely changed his musical and content style. The album nevertheless landed at number 3 in the German charts. At the beginning of December the Passion Whiskey by Silla was released, which was ranked 15th in the album charts in Germany.

On April 19, 2013, another southern rap album by Fler was released with Blaues Blut , but he concentrated again on gangsta rap . This was also ranked 3rd in the German charts. The third sampler Masculin Mixtape Vol. 3 was released on September 13, 2013. On January 24, 2014, the fourth sampler Masculin Mixtape Vol. 4 was released as a physical release, after the digital version was already offered on December 6, 2013.

On January 29, 2014 it was announced that Fler had concluded a distribution deal with Sony Music . However, Groove Attack is again responsible for sales. Since then, the name of the label has also been Masculine Music Group . The first and last release of the Masculin Music Group, Neue Deutsche Welle 2 , appeared on September 5, 2014. Before that, the digital singles Stabiler Deutscher and Hipster Hass were released . On November 21, 2014, the album Audio Anabolika by the artist Silla was released, who then left the label.

In 2015, the album Keiner geht klar mit mir was released again via Masculin, which rose to number 1 in the German charts. This makes it the rapper's first album to top the charts. In the same year Fler released the album Weil die Straße not forget , which, unlike nobody gets along with me , also contains guest contributions by other artists. The rappers Shindy , PA Sports , Kurdo and the new masculine signing Jalil are part of the party. The latter released his official debut album A short time later, Life Has No Air System . On December 4, 2015, the Fler Best Of album Der Staat gegen Patrick Decker was released .

On September 2, 2016 the Fler album Vibe was released , which entered the German charts at number 1. From this the singles Lifestyle of the poor and dangerous , You have the most beautiful ass in the world , Infrared and Unterwegs published with the new Signing Sentino since the beginning of 2016 . After a dispute with the label's founder Fler, Sentino left the label in May 2016. Sentino announced that he would like to concentrate on a career in Poland.
