The website laut.de gave the album only two out of a possible five points and criticized the monotony of the content:
“ Over a running time of a good fifty minutes, only interrupted by a few film kits and the aforementioned features, he gives the invincible, rock-hard, callous, rioting in all directions, constantly reciting Berlin boys from the street, who never lose sight of his roots loses and is a foreign word for self-doubt. As a consequence, that deserves respect. The only question is how long Fler aka Frank White can keep serving his fans with the same food before the pack rises up against their own leader. "
The website rap.de rated Weil die Straße nicht Forgets positively overall and highlighted the successful production:
“ The days of phrases being repeated three thousand times as hooks are finally over, the trap parts have been greatly minimized. In return, there is the solid rhyme craft that one is used to from Frank and that lives less from unbelievably unusual comparisons or play on words than from a certain audacity. As expected, there were no big surprises in terms of content to be heard. [...] The high-class beats set the right accents. "CCN Children" and "Alles was ich Kennen" are the finest lowered trap floors, while "From an early age", "I hang out on the streets" or "At the same time" the proven CCN sound at 2015 level bring. [...] In view of this dense sound carpet, which was mixed well compared to many German albums, Fler doesn't have to do too much anymore. And as I said, he doesn't do that either. A painfully personal song like “Mama is not proud of me” would certainly have done the album good, so there is the invincible Frank White for 50 minutes, who is always right, does real talk, thinks with his tail and speaks with his fist. The classic Berlin formula, without ironic refraction or too much self-reflection. "
The online magazine MZEE.com criticized the album, but also praised the stringency of the work:
“ Authenticity is a problem anyway. Why should I really buy someone to "aim out of the car" ("Intro / I do real talk") when I believe in the common sense of a 33-year-old adult man? Opinions differ on this question, but perhaps also many listeners of "Because the street does not forget": If you believe it, you will get a rock-solid street rap album. If you don't do that, you won't miss much on the twelfth solo album by Fler aka Frank White. "
