Sai Jinhua

Sai Jinhua ( October 9, 1872 , † 1936 ) was a Chinese courtesan .

Life

From 1885 she used the stage name Fu Caiyun. In 1887 she became a concubine of Hong Jun and accompanied him on his mission to Europe. During the pacification mission that followed the Boxer Rebellion , it is said to have had a moderating influence on Alfred von Waldersee , which, however , is qualified as a myth by historical science .

With this myth she ran the profession of puff mother from 1903 . In 1905, after the suicide of an employee, she was sentenced to death , which was revised into exile from Beijing at a financial expense .
