In addition to drawings such as the 14-part Stations of the Cross cycle of the St. Petrus and Paulus Church in Nagold, Michaela A. Fischer creates sculptures out of stone, as body and torso. Her figurative sculptures made of bronze are cast in bronze using the lost wax technique . Starting with small sculptures, today there are large sculptures that she calls poker figures .

“The sculptures by Michaela A. Fischer deal with one of the big questions of sculpture: How is space created? And how do body and space relate to one another? The figures appear voluminous and fragile at the same time. Fischer achieves this effect through a special casting technique, in which volume is not created by mass, but by opening up a space with individual bands and surfaces. The artist has created a whole series using this technique - the so-called »lace figures«. If you look at the work from different angles, you can see a variety of views and you can always enjoy a new silhouette. "
