Discipline (* 1985 in Cottbus as Ben Arnold) is a German rapper from Cottbus. His stage name is derived from the slang expression " dis " ("make someone bad").

Life

Arnold originally comes from Cottbus , where he attended the Ludwig-Leichhardt-Gymnasium . From 2008 to 2010 he did an apprenticeship as a media designer . He has lived in Dresden since 2010 .

He gained first notoriety through the group "Ostmob", which he founded together with the artist Ossi Ostler.

In 2005 he began to produce the first tracks under the artist name “Discipline”. In the same year a free EP called "Zwang" was released. With this EP and the releases of the band "Ostmob", dissipation became known in the rap scene.

In 2007 his first solo album was released with the name "Plattenbauten". The artists Dita Rantel and Ossi Ostler are also represented on this album. Because of this publication, he made his first appearance on a national level.

In 2009 published the dissertation "Platz an der Sonne". This was his second solo album. In addition to artists like King Orgasmus One and Joe Rilla , Ossi Ostler and Morlockk Dilemma are also represented on this album. With the publication of “Platz an der Sonne”, music videos for some tracks appeared on various Internet video portals. His most famous tracks "Ich bin Deutschland" and "Hörst du Sie?" Are also included on this album.

In 2010 he published the video for the track “Es geht nicht mehr” (“Platz an der Sonne”) on 16bars.tv .

At the end of 2011, the rapper Scotch published a video for his track "MTV", which also includes dissipation.

At the beginning of 2012 Disslinie announced that his third album “Folk Music” would be released this year. The video for the first single ( "Invictus") from the new album was released in mid-September on the website Aggro.TV , the video for the track "Give me my city back" in mid-October on rap.de . Shortly thereafter, the video for “Falscher Freund” was published on the meinrap.de website .

Assignment to the right-wing radical spectrum

Dissipation sympathizes with the racist identity movement and is considered an important musician within the group. However, he refuses to be classified as a "Nazi". Like the artists Fler and Joe Rilla, his sympathizers call dissipation a "patriotic rapper". He is proud of his origins and wants to be able to say so. His claim is to be the voice of youth, a new, unencumbered generation.
