Jaysus (born September 25, 1982 in Friedrichshafen ) is a German rapper of Greek descent.

biography

From 2001 to 2005 Jaysus was rapper in the group Chablife together with Kay One from Ravensburg and Scandaliz, who was under contract with the Royalbunker label . In 2006 he released the street album König im Süd on Shrazy Records. The hip-hop magazine Juice voted it “Street Album of the Month”.

In 2007 Jaysus appeared on the main stage of the Splash Festival and headlined the Shrazy Records tour through Germany and Switzerland . In early 2008, Jaysus ended his collaboration with Shrazy Records and founded the label Macht Rap with his brother Cozta . In March 2013, Jaysus and “Macht Rap” entered into a contractual relationship with Warner Music Group , one of the leading major labels . On November 21st, his album “God loves the patient” was released, on which German rap greats such as MoTrip and PA Sports are represented.

Conflict with Kay One (2005-2017)

After Kay One left the mutual rap crew Chablife single-handedly in 2005 and switched to Eko Fresh's label German Dream in the hope of career advancement , the connection with Jaysus not only ended on a musical level, but also put an end to the longstanding friendship between the two.

In the Disstrack Life and Death of Kenneth Glöckler , Bushido named Jaysus as Kay One's rap teacher. As a result, his name was circulating again in all hip-hop media after a long time and received great attention and recognition from many sides. Kay One responded to Bushido's track by publishing Judgment Day on November 29, 2014, opposing Jaysus. He published his contribution to the rap conflict on December 7, 2014 - eight days later - with Day of the Dumbest Face . The intro was spoken by Charles Rettinghaus .

But since August 2017 both have spoken out and no longer have a problem with each other. Lil Kay supported Friedrich on Facebook, whereupon he contacted Kay and they then solved the problem. You could even imagine making music together again, it was mentioned on an Instagram livestream.

Conflict with Shindy (2011-2014)

On top of that, Jaysus is considered the discoverer and former mentor of the rapper Shindy , who was under contract with Macht Rap until 2011. After they parted ways to Jaysus' disappointment, Shindy announced his collaboration with Kay One a short time later and then signed his contract with ersguterjunge . After years of silence, their rap colleagues MoTrip and Eko Fresh brought the two back together in February 2014 at a concert in Stuttgart, where they publicly reconciled.
