Judgment Day is a disstrack by German rapper Kay One against German rappers Bushido , Eko Fresh , Jaysus , Shindy and Ali Bumaye . The track was released on November 29, 2014 - about a year after the release of the Bushido song Life and Death of Kenneth Glöckler .

content

text

The track begins with an intro spoken by Kay One and a subsequent phone call with Arafat Abou-Chaker that was edited together . From the first verse, Kay One talks about his beginnings as a freestyler. Then he accuses Jaysus of lying and reports on his first contact with rapper Kool Savas . Kay One then raps about her stay at the Royal Bunker label and loses few positive words about Marcus Staiger . Then he treats the time with Eko Fresh . He also said that mostly Eko Fresh was responsible for writing the lyrics for the Bushido albums Public Enemy No. 1 and From the Skyline to the Curb back . Then video recordings by OJ Kingpin and Fler are shown. Kay One thanks Hakan Abi and G-Style. Then a recording from the Eko Fresh video I'm away from Bushido is shown. Then Kay One directs a few disparaging words to Eko Fresh and begins with the third verse. In this mainly Bushido is dissed. Kay One also expresses disapproval of Bushido's wife Anna-Maria Ferchichi, Shindy , DJ Gan-G and Ali Bumaye .

Video

The content of the video is based on the life and death of Kenneth Glöckler . Initially, Kay One is dumped in a body bag, but manages to break free and then plans his revenge. In the video there are doubles by Bushido and Shindy. In addition, some video clips from earlier times are shown, thematically matching the respective text, including the Eko Fresh video I'm away from Bushido , which is based on David Hasselhoff's scandalous video, which shows him eating a hamburger in a completely drunk state. In the last part of the video, Kay One is hunting Bushido. You see him in first person view with a machine gun . Bushido is then tied up and is threatened by Kay One. Then he unties him and chases him through a forest. In the end, Kay points the gun at Bushido. A shot can be heard when the picture goes black.

background

Origin background

Kay One left the ersguterjunge label in 2012 . This resulted in a beef between Bushido and Kay One. Some time later, Shindy was also drawn into the dispute when, after he left ersguterjunge with Kay One and testified against the latter in court, he then switched sides and henceforth supported Bushido and acted against Kay One. Shindy then published the Disstrack Alcoholized Pedophiles , based on Kay One's label AP , to justify himself to the public. A little later the track Nothing but the Truth by Kay One appeared, which, according to his own statement, should not represent a disstrack. In the same year Bushido published the song Life and Death of Kenneth Glöckler , accusing Kay One of having exploited all of his former companions. Kay One had previously provided background information on the Abou Chaker clan from Berlin on stern.tv .

Over time, a large part of the German hip-hop scene turned against Kay One, who at the time was often referred to as a 31st or a traitor . After the rapper Fler stated that he had " no contact and no problem " with Kay One, the latter briefly witnessed a wave of hatred in the German rap scene. In addition, Bushido used the latter statements as an alibi to deny his disloyalty to Fler, since Bushido was working with his arch enemies Kollegah and Farid Bang at the time. Then Bushido released his twelfth studio album Sonny Black , on which some taunts towards Kay One could be heard again. On the side, Kay One was publicly dubbed " Son of a Whore " several times by Bushido and Shindy . As part of the promo phase for Shindy's second solo album FVCKB! TCHE $ GETMONE ¥ , Kay One then announced that she would ultimately respond to the Bushido disrack and settle accounts with a few other people.

publication

The video itself is said to have cost between 40,000 and 50,000 euros. After several announcements, the video was uploaded to YouTube on the night of November 29th to 30th, 2014. The publication took longer than expected because Kay One allegedly had problems with his wireless router .

After publication

With the release, Kay One set a new YouTube record in German rap. The video reached three million views in the first 24 hours, setting Bushido's record with the life and death of Kenneth Glöckler . Kay One's technique was praised in the hip-hop scene, but in terms of content, the piece offered little new. It would have long been known in the hip-hop scene that Bushido would not write his own lyrics, sued his fans for trifles or threaten a pregnant woman.

Anna-Maria Ferchichi, Bushido's wife, was offended by the video and the accompanying text and had a lawyer send a warning . Kay One first took the clip off the network, but unlocked it again half a day later. A few weeks later, Kay One published again on Facebook a court order obtained by Bushido's lawyer and stated that she would have to take TDJG off the internet for good, otherwise he would face a heavy fine. Since then, the video is no longer officially on YouTube.

Music and lyrics

The producer Amaterasu is responsible for the background music. The 25-minute track consists of a beat with a sampled guitar riff .

Kay One's diss to Bushido, which also includes other people from his former environment, goes, according to many voices in the media, too far in some places. Kay One threatens Bushido with violence, threatens to rape his wife, and even suggests that Bushido had sex with his dogs. Kay One, however, justifies these provocations by stating that the previous history was much more violent and that he himself would also have been severely attacked by the two disstracks of Shindy and Bushido:

“I exaggerated a bit, that may be, but I didn't cross certain limits, like insulting your mother or insulting your father, you don't do that. But I attacked everything else, I'm not sorry either. What he said was worse in my eyes. "
