Abou Chaker Clan

Abou-Chaker-Clan (also Abou-Chaker-Family ) is the name of investigative authorities and some media for a group of mostly male members of the Abou-Chaker family association of Palestinian origin, the v. a. is based in Berlin , Lebanon and Copenhagen . The clan goes back to Said and Nazmie Abou-Chaker, who were born in the Palestinian refugee camp Wavel, near the city of Baalbek ( Lebanon ). In the mid-1970s, they and their first four children fled to Germany from the Lebanese civil war . Five more children, born in West Berlin , followed: a total of six sons (Nasser, Ali, Arafat, Rommel, Mohammed and Yasser) and three daughters. The family was followed by other brothers and cousins ​​with their families to Germany.

Born in 1971 as the eldest son of Said and Nazmie Abou-Chaker, Nasser Abou-Chaker is the presumed head of the clan and is considered a central figure in Berlin's underworld. Arafat Abou-Chaker
Arafat Abou-Chaker, born in Berlin in 1976, is considered to be the “leading figure” of the clan. He first came into the public eye in 2008 when he took over the management of rapper Bushido . The two later separated again. In January 2019, Arafat Abou-Chaker was sentenced by the Tiergarten District Court to a ten-month prison sentence in the first instance for bodily harm and threats , the execution of which was suspended. The Berlin Regional Court later converted the judgment into a fine of 90 daily rates of 165 euros each in an appeal process. In August 2020, Abou-Chaker provided the following information about the person before the Berlin Regional Court: He was German national, divorced and the father of five children. His learned profession is a car mechanic. He is also an entrepreneur and lives off income from renting and leasing.
Mohammed Abou-Chaker
In 2010, at the age of 31, the German-Arab named "Momo" was the mastermind behind the so-called poker robbery worth 242,000 euros in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin. He was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison. In mid-2013 Mohammad Abou-Chaker was released into the open prison .
Abdallah Abou-Chaker
As an intensive offender , Abdallah Abou-Chaker was assigned a separate clerk at the Berlin police. The 33-year-old in 2015 has been awarded several times a. a. convicted of driving without a license.
Ahmed Abou-Chaker
Ahmed Abou-Chaker (* 1983) is a dealer in precious metals, furs and antiques. According to his own statement, however, he has distanced himself from the criminal activities of the clan.

In 2012, Spiegel TV reported a trial against a number of members of the clan. The shooting was overshadowed by massive intimidation attempts on the part of the clan members in the corridor of the courthouse.

The Berlin public prosecutor assigns the activities of the male members to organized crime . Mafia structures are "clearly in place and have been judicially established". “They commit crimes in the area of ​​violent crime.” According to clan lawyer Stefan Conen, until 2013 no court had certified mafia-like structures.

The rapper Kay One was in the wider area of ​​the clan, but left it in early 2013. According to him, he has been the target of death threats since then and was temporarily under police protection.

In 2014 it was reported that the Abou Chaker clan was working with the Hells Angels . Among other things, Kadir Padir, President of the Berlin Hells Angels, and other members of the MC could be seen in a music video by rapper Bushido, who is known for his close ties to the clan.

A close connection existed for many years with the rapper Bushido . In 2013, for example, it was announced through the Stern that Bushido and the clan member Arafat Abou-Chaker had given each other general powers of attorney over their entire assets. In March 2018, Bushido announced via Facebook that he no longer worked with Arafat Abou-Chaker. In September 2018 the rapper, who is now close to a member of the Remmo clan , published his musical settlement with Arafat Abou-Chaker with the song Mephisto . In interviews, Bushido describes the relationship with the words that he “had nothing to report” and Arafat Abou-Chaker “simply decided everything”.

Film appearance

In the film Times Change You from 2010, which is inspired by Bushido’s autobiography , Moritz Bleibtreu plays the role of Arafat Abou-Chaker . In addition to Mohammed Abou-Chaker, other clan members appeared as extras.
