BattleBoi Basti (2013)

BattleBoi Basti (born April 15, 1984 in Eberswalde-Finow ; short "BBB"; also known as Ficksch ; real name Stefan Schwensow ) is a German rapper .

Career

Since 2008 Schwensow appeared under the pseudonym Ficksch with the group MOTek on the album DreiMalDrei. Shortly thereafter, the group wanted to create "funny gangster images" and formed a new Click Clack clique. During this transformation, Ficksch created two alter egos : BattleBoi Basti and Lil ILL.

Tournaments

The fictional character BattleBoi Basti reached the first major attention during the audio Battle Tournament 2011 by MZEE , which he compared the rapper 4tune won. He achieved his breakthrough in the same year in the video battle tournament (VBT) 2011, which was organized annually by rappers.in. After BattleBoi Basti was eliminated from the tournament in the semifinals against rapper Tamo-Flage, he voluntarily gave up 3rd place and instead submitted a round against Weekend , because the rappers.in community largely wanted this pairing as a "dream final" .

In 2012 he took part in the 1st Splash Edition of the VBT, in which the winner was able to win an appearance at the Splash Festival 2012 . Again, BattleBoi Basti prevailed against his competition and only failed in the final at Weekend, which allowed BBB a guest appearance during his appearance at Splash. Schwensow also took part in the live tournaments “Rap Am Wednesday” and “DLTLLY”. At Rap On Wednesday the “youngest” rapper won the so-called “BMCL” against the rapper P-Zak. A few years later, shortly before the release of his album VoicesBruch, the rapper lost in the BMCL to Gozpel, who nevertheless paid tribute to him.

Other highlights

On August 13, 2011 he won the rap contest of the Graffitibox Summer Jam, which made him part of the Graffitibox Summer Jam 2012 line-up. In December of that year, BattleBoi Basti appeared as a feature guest on the track “Am Apparat” from Alligatoah's album “Schlaftabletten, Rotwein 4”. In November and December 2012 he supported Trailerpark on their “Crackstreet Boys” tour. In August BattleBoi Basti played as a support musician for Die Bestesten in Cologne , Hamburg and Berlin . In the first quarter of 2013, BattleBoi Basti performed on the VBT tour 2013. He also accompanied the Trailerpark tour this year. In 2014 Basti supported Alligatoah on his tour trip to Jerusalem as well as on his appearance at Rock am Ring . He also supported Alligatoah in his appearance at the Hurricane and at the Chiemsee Summer Festival 2015. He also accompanied Alligatoah on his suicide mission tour in 2016 , which means that BattleBoi Basti is also no solution on the live DVD live music , as well as in 2019 on his like-at-home tour.

Albums

On June 21, 2013, BattleBoi Basti's debut album Pullermatz was released via BMG Rights Management , which reached number 20 in the German charts with 3,700 copies sold in the first week of sales. His second album VoicesBruch was released on June 26, 2015 and was ranked 22nd in the German Top 100.

Fictional character

BattleBoi Basti plays with his identity in his performances, in some pieces of music he lets three different characters appear. He now has seven characters, each with their own style: For example, he appears as Ficksch with his normal voice and demeanor, as BattleBoi Basti with a disguised, high-pitched voice and round horn-rimmed glasses , and sometimes with a school bag . His character Mohrenkopf Dilemma is a parody of Morlockk's Dilemma .

The character BattleBoi Basti was expanded in the first rounds of the VBT 2011. He portrays himself as a twelve-year-old, unsuccessful East Berlin rapper, who is constantly humiliated by his father (played by Six Eastwood).
