Montesarchio is an Italian municipality in the province of Benevento in the Campania region with 13,390 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) and has been a member of the association I borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful places in Italy") since 2017 .

geography

The municipality is located about 25 km west of the provincial capital Benevento in the hill country on the east side of Monte Taburno . The neighboring municipalities are Apollosa , Bonea , Campoli del Monte Taburno , Ceppaloni , Cervinara ( AV ), Roccabascerana ( AV ), Rotondi ( AV ), San Martino Valle Caudina ( AV ) and Tocco Caudio . The districts are Cirignano, Tufara Valle and Varoni.
