Casalduni is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 1289 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Benevento in Campania . The municipality is located about 16 kilometers north-northwest of Benevento on the Tammaro .

history

Originally the settlement goes back to a Roman foundation. On August 14, 1861, Piedmontese troops carried out a cruel massacre of the civilian population here and in the neighboring municipality of Pontelandolfo .
