Torrecuso is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3375 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Benevento in Campania . The municipality is located about 12 kilometers northwest of Benevento . Torrecuso belongs to the Comunità Montana del Taburno . The north-western boundary of the municipality is the Calore Irpino .

history

Torrecuso was first mentioned in the 11th century as torum licusi . From the 13th century there was a Finucchio castle , which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1349.
