Germany, give me a mic! is the first live and video album by the Berlin rapper Bushido . It was released on April 28, 2006 through his label Ersguterjunge and Universal Music . The DVD is approved by the FSK for ages 16 and over.

content

The album contains a concert recording of Bushido's performance in the Columbiahalle in front of 3000 spectators in Berlin. The songs played come from his studio albums, Vom Bordstein bis zur Skyline (four songs), Electro Ghetto (five tracks) and Staatsfeind Nr. 1 (eight pieces), as well as the collab albums Carlo Cokxxx Nutten (one track) and Carlo Cokxxx Hookers II (six songs). At the concert, Bushido is supported by the artists Baba Saad , Chakuza , DJ Stickle and D-Bo , who were then under contract with Ersguterjunge .

The DVD also contains insights into the backstage area with comments by Bushido and seven music videos .

Cover design

The album cover is in black and white and shows Bushido, who is standing on stage during the performance and pulls his left arm upwards. In the background is the black text Bushido and on the right Bushido logo. The title Germany give me a mic is on the left of the picture.

Germany, give me a mic! entered the German album charts on May 12, 2006 at number 10 and in the following weeks occupied positions 22, 24 and 32. In total, the record stayed in the top 100 for 16 weeks. The album also reached the in Austria and Switzerland Charts.

The DVD version of the album was awarded a gold record in 2007 for more than 25,000 copies sold in Germany .

“Bushido wanted a mic - the Columbia Halle in Berlin gave it to him; almost two hours of pure bushido on stage, with the support of Baba Saad, Chakuza, DJ Stickle, D-Bo, a live drummer and a live bassist. [...] This show sets new standards in live German rap: Live instrumentation, sound, stage design and light show all have a quality that is not known from local rap. Several cameras follow the hustle and bustle and document the performance of the Tempelhof gangster with selected settings. [...] How a concert in front of 3,000 fans and the newly gained fame feel like, Bushido then explains in sufficient backstage recordings. "
