Never a Rapper is a song by the German rappers Bushido and Baba Saad and the first and only single from their joint album Carlo Cokxxx Nutten II . The song was released on April 4, 2005 and reached number 24 in the German single charts.

background

In 2002 Bushido released the album Carlo Cokxxx Nutten together with the rapper Fler . At the time, this had managed without single releases. For the follow-up album Carlo Cokxxx Nutten II, Nie ein Rapper was selected as the only single. It came out the same day as the album. According to Bushido, the song represents a conscious counter-concept to the overall rougher tone of the album Carlo Cokxxx Nutten II.

With Never a Rapper , Bushido and Baba Saad reached number 24 in the single charts in Germany on April 18, 2005 and stayed in the top 100 for a total of 9 weeks. For Baba Saad, the song was first in the German single charts Today, Never a Rapper is his most successful single. For Bushido too, Nie ein Rapper was the highest-ranked single release to date. With his next four singles Endgegner / Public Enemy No. 1 , Moment , Von der Skyline zum Kerbstein zurück and Sonnenbank Flavor , he reached the top 20 each and thus achieved a higher ranking.

criticism

No rapper has ever received positive reviews. In its review of the single, the online magazine dafoon.com rated both the song's music and Bushido and Saad's rap contributions as convincing.
