Heavy Metal Payback Live is the third live and video album by Berlin rapper Bushido . It was released on January 9, 2009 through his label Ersguterjunge and Sony Music . The DVD is approved by the FSK for ages 16 and over.
content
The album contains a concert recording of Bushido's performance on October 15, 2008 in front of 15,000 spectators in the O₂ Arena in Berlin. With ten songs, most were taken from the accompanying studio album Heavy Metal Payback . Other pieces played come from his previously released studio albums Vom Bordstein bis zur Skyline (two songs), Von der Skyline zum Bordstein zurück (one track) and 7 (three pieces). There is also one track each from the label sampler Alles Gute Comes from Below and one from Chakuza's studio album City Cobra . Bushido will be supported at the concert by the artists Kay One , Nyze , Chakuza and DJ Stickle , who were then under contract with Ersguterjunge .
The DVD also contains a making of and the music videos for the songs Ching Ching and Forever Young .
Cover design
The album cover shows Bushido performing on stage. He wears a white T-shirt with the words Berlin and holds a microphone in front of his mouth. In the upper part of the picture is the title Heavy Metal Payback Live in orange, black and white letters. On the right side of the cover you can see Bushido's logo made of black smoke. The background is in gray tones.

Chart success
The sales of the album are counted together with those of the studio album Heavy Metal Payback : After the release of the live album, it rose from number 60 to number 5 in the German charts and stayed in the top 100 for another seven weeks.

The website cdstarts.de gave the album three out of a possible ten points:
“The live tracklist [is] very similar to that of the studio factory (ten overlaps) and is only supplemented by a few, cough, classics like“ From the skyline to the curb back ”. [...] What the buyer should find on what is now the third live album in three years remains a mystery to the reviewer. In any case, the artistic output does not justify the live CDs being dumped on the market in washing baskets. These are just souvenirs that will be found on flea markets at the end of the Bushido era (also for the sake of washing baskets). "
