Heisse Ware is a joint mixtape of the Berlin rapper B-Tight and Tony D . It was released on August 8, 2005 on the independent label Aggro Berlin . Hot goods were mixed by DJ Werd and entered the top 30 of the German album charts.

background

After B-Tight had published the EP Der Neger (in mir) in 2002, he subsequently appeared mainly on records from other rappers and the samplers from Aggro Berlin. In 2004 the Berlin label was able to place its first artist, Sido, in the top 10 of the German charts. The rapper Fler followed a year later . With the marketing of Sido and Fler, B-Tight temporarily took a back seat. In August 2005, Heisse Ware, the first sound carrier B-Tights was released after three years. Tony D, who was not under contract with Aggro Berlin at the time Heisse Ware was made, received an artist contract with the Berlin label a short time later and was presented to a wider audience at the end of 2005 on the sampler Aggro Ansage Nr. 5 .

Moderation

Sido in 2003

The mixtape will be moderated by the Berlin rapper Sido . He thus takes on the role of the so-called host, which is mainly used on mixtapes by American hip-hop artists. In the run-up to the publication, Sido commented on why he only introduces the rappers performing on Heisse Ware and is not represented on a piece himself:

“Right now, I always have to deal with all of this shit. I'm held responsible for every Berlin rapper who has fucked a mother somewhere. And when the CD is indexed one day, I'll be the one who has to stand for it. That's why I deliberately stay out of it a bit. This thing is just too hard for me. Too hot goods. "

Guest Posts

Rapper and producer gynecologist

A large number of guest contributions can be found on Heisse Ware . Particularly noteworthy are the Berlin rappers from Berlin Crime . Some representatives of this hip-hop posse are represented on the piece of music Aggro Berlin Crime . These are gynecologist , MC Bogy , Manny Marc , Smoky and Chuky. Heisse Ware is the first release of the Aggro Berlin label, on which Berlin Crime is represented. In particular, the gynecologist and MC Bogy have been working regularly with rappers from Aggro Berlin since the release of Heisse Ware . In 2007 Bogy also released the album Willkommen in Abschaumcity via Aggro Berlin.

“These features are meant to show people that it's not what everyone always says. I mean, that's a statement. If the sect does something with BC, if someone comes from Kreuzberg and the MV, then it shows that Berlin is not as controversial as one thinks. "

Further guest contributions were made by the sect members Alpa Gun and Fuhrmann, who are now under contract with Sektenmuzik , as well as by MOK . Joe Rilla , who accompanied B-Tight, Sido and Fler on the Aggro Announcement No. 4 tour in 2004, is represented on Be as you are . So fresh so clean is a joint song by Fler and G-Hot without the involvement of B-Tight and Tony D. Furthermore, NHT is involved in one piece.

There are also two international rappers on Heisse Ware . The French rapper Gilles K. can be heard at Berlin Paris . The contribution by New York rapper Tim Dog should also be emphasized . This became known in the 1990s, among other things through disputes with the group NWA .

production

Eight musicians were involved in the production of Heisse Ware . Sido produced the titles Berlin Paris , Scheiß drauf , Freunde and Partytime under the pseudonym Sido Gold . Tony D produced three tracks with Heisse Ware , Aggro Berlin Crime and 1, 2, 3 . B-Tight also contributed three productions under his pseudonym Beatight. These can be assigned to the pieces Fünfer , So drauf and Ab Ab . Fuego , who had already produced several beats on the sampler Aggro Ansage Nr. 4 released a year earlier , was responsible for the background music for the title Ich will und Viel Gas (remix) . The Beathoavenz produced the song Be as you are and the title Death Threat was contributed by Paul NZA . Joe Rilla was also responsible for the background music for Twoh and Dan for Say Nothing .

illustration

The heads of rappers B-Tight and Tony D can be seen on the cover. In the lower part of the picture the represented gastrappers are listed. On the left edge is Tony D in large letters, vertical , on the right edge B-Tight is legible.

The design of the cover was done by Aggro Berlin boss Specter . Florian Wörner is responsible for the photos of the booklet.

Video

The CD contains an additional music video for Tony D's "1, 2, 3" (track 24). A video clip was created for the song Twoh , but it is not included on the CD. This shows various scenes in which Tony D and B-Tight are in a park. Twoh can only be viewed on various video portals on the Internet and, unlike most of the clips from Aggro Berlin, it was not broadcast on music television channels.

reception

success

The mixtape entered the German album charts at number 27. In the second week, Heisse Ware fell to number 36 on the charts. Subsequently, the sound carrier occupied position 45. In the 37th calendar week of 2005, the mixtape occupied position 64 on the album charts. After that, Heisse Ware was able to reach positions 90 and 99 in the German charts before disappearing from the list of the 100 best-selling albums of the week.

criticism

The reviews of hot goods were very different. The German e-zine Laut.de rated the sound carrier with one of a possible five points. This gave the mixtape by B-Tight and Tony D the worst rating possible on this page. The responsible editor Philipp Gässlein describes the beats of the sound carrier as “too overloaded and unstructured”. Only the productions of the songs Twoh by Joe Rilla, Be like you are by Beathoavenz and the beats by B-Tight are positively highlighted. Tony D in particular is criticized by Gässlein as a “lyrical joke with a leather jacket and a thick chain”. From the editor's point of view, Tony D has no flow. On the other hand, the contributions of the American Tim Dog and the French Gilles K as well as the piece So fresh so clean by Fler and G-Hot are positively highlighted.

"The most interesting thing to do with this product would be to count whether the frequency of the word" Fick "in Aggro Berlin Crime is enough for an entry in the Guinness book ."

- Final conclusion from the evaluation of the Laut.de e-zine

In contrast to Laut.de, the editors of the hip-hop magazine Juice named the sound carrier tape of the month . From the point of view of the responsible editor, hot goods go through "as a separate album" despite the name Mixtape.

"Highlights are definitely Death Threat with NY veteran Tim Dog crunke that, BC supported Aggro Berlin Crime , the auto anthem Much Gas , Party Time with Fuhrmann and Alpa and the ludicrous fives . [...] Friends of the humorous sect style will definitely get their money's worth here, but aggro haters will throw up in view of the many BpjM candies, filthiness and Tony D, who is leaving the spirits. But really this time. Great CD. "

- Excerpts from the evaluation of the juice

The website Rap.de described the songs by Heisse Ware as "high quality". The editor nevertheless pointed out that the sound carrier was not designed for “poetic dormice or even musical softies”. In a final conclusion, it is noted in the evaluation that hot goods partly live from the “well-chosen” guest posts by befriended rappers.

indexing

In July 2012 the CD was placed on List A of the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People.
