Musically, the song moves in the field of German contemporary R&B - and pop music . The song is about the fact that the current society mostly seems selfish, ignorant and cold and that it therefore wants to build its own city in which qualities such as warmth and trust are in the foreground. The stanzas are sung by Tawil, the refrain by Steen. Both can be heard in the bridge .

“I'll build a city for you,
glass and gold become stone.
And every street that
leads out leads back in again.
I'm building a city for you - and for me. "
