I just want you to know is a song by the German music duo SDP . The piece was initially part of the seventh studio album, Back to the Future, and later gained greater fame as a single release in a newly recorded form, together with the German pop singer Adel Tawil .
Creation and artwork
The song was written by the two SDP members Dag-Alexis Kopplin and Vincent Stein (Beatzarre). The latter also produced the single. The single was released under the music label Berliner Plattenbau and distributed by Universal Music Publishing . On the cover of the maxi single - in addition to the artist name and song title - a heart made of paper balls can be seen on a wooden table next to other writing utensils.

The first publication of I just want you to know was initially, in a solo version, as part of the seventh studio album Back to Zukunst on May 22, 2015 Germany, Austria and Switzerland . The maxi single was first published on July 27, 2015 as a download. A physical sound carrier was released around a month later on August 21, 2015 in all German-speaking countries. I just want you to know , reached position 15 in the single charts in Germany and stayed in the charts for a total of 55 weeks. In Austria and Switzerland, the single reached position 41 in the charts in eight and two weeks respectively. In 2015, I want only that you know was placed in the German annual single charts at position 51. In 2016, the single was placed at position 77 in the German annual single charts.
For SDP this is the first chart success in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For Beatzarre and Kopplin as authors, this is also the first chart success. For Beatzarre as a music producer, this is his 33rd chart success in Germany, as well as the 30th chart success in Austria and the 21st chart success in Switzerland. For Tawil as an interpreter this is the eleventh chart success in Germany, the eighth in Austria and the tenth in Switzerland.
