The song was written by Sebastian Kirchner, Heike Kospach and Adel Tawil, and produced by Andreas Herbig, Sebastian Kirchner and Adel Tawil. The single was released under the music labels Capitol Records and Vertigo Berlin . On the cover of the maxi single you can see the upper half of Adel Tawil's head - in addition to the artist's inscription and the song title. The concept and photography are from Till Janz and Hendrik Schneider. The recordings took place in the Hamburg recording studio Boogiepark Studios.

Publication and promotion

The digital single was first published on February 28, 2014 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland . The physical sound carrier was released two weeks later on March 14, 2014. The maxi single also contains the album version, a remix version by Moses Pelham and Martin Haas and an instrumental version of the song as the B-side .

In order to promote the song, there was a live performance during the ECHO Pop 2014 award ceremony .

The black and white filmed music video about crying was shot at Hanover-Langenhagen Airport . You can see Tawil preparing for a flight to Lisbon to join a woman. In between, short excerpts of this woman can be seen. The total length of the video is 3:17 minutes. Kim Frank was the director and producer .
