Career with july
As a teenager, Triebel co-founded the originally English-language band Sunnyglade , which renamed itself in July 2001 and reoriented itself to German-language texts. After the band was signed by Universal Music in 2003 , they have released four studio albums so far: It's July (2004), A New Day (2006), In Love (2010) and Insel (2014). Triebel was involved as guitarist and co-author on all four albums; Many of the band's successful titles come from his pen, including Perfekte Welle , Geile Zeit , Das Leben and Elektrisches Fehler .
Work for other artists
Since around 2008 Triebel has also been working increasingly as a composer and author for other German and international artists. One of his first activities in this regard was the title What has time done to us? on Udo Lindenberg's number one album Stark wie Zwei , which was also released as a single and was used in the musical Hinterm Horizont . Some of the songs he was co-author of became successful singles, in particular Tim Bendzko's debut single Nur noch die Welt save (2011), Mark Forster's Flash mich (2014) or Namikas Je ne parle pas français (2018). With Alexander Zuckowski he was the producer and co-author of Álvaro Soler's 2015 debut album Eterno agosto , the first single El mismo sol of which was a hit in many countries and was recorded for the Anglo-American market in a version with Jennifer Lopez . In 2016, Sofia , another song co-written for Álvaro Soler, became a number one hit in several countries, including Italy and Switzerland.
For Leslie Clio's debut album Gladys (2013), Triebel recorded the keyboard on some of the songs . For the album King in the Mirror (2014) by Anna F. he recorded guitars and handclaps . He also recorded instruments and background vocals as part of his collaboration with Álvaro Soler and Udo Lindenberg.
2010 to 2013 was Triebel in the category Composition Rock / Pop for the German music author award of GEMA nominated. At the beginning of 2015 he was signed by the music publisher Budde Music .
Together with Nicolas Rebscher and Kevin Schroeder , Triebel wrote the musical adaptation of the successful film Fack ju Göhte . The production Fack ju Göhte - Das Musical had its premiere in January 2018 in Munich .
