A new day - live is the first live album by the Giessen band Juli . It was released - like the live DVD of the same name - on September 28, 2007.
background
The tour for their second studio album, Ein neue Tag , released in October 2006, took the band through the German-speaking countries from January to May 2007 in three tour sections. The concert was recorded on February 28, 2007 during the band's concert in the Münsterland Hall in Münster . The company Fesch film filmed the band, which was published on 28 September 2007 for the first live-DVD. Directed by Paul Hauptmann. The production directed Marc Schütrumpf . It was only announced in August that an audio CD would also be released from the resulting material. This was finally released on the same day (September 28, 2007) and under the same title as the DVD.

The order of the songs corresponds to that of the tour set list, which remained unchanged during the entire tour from January 2007 until the festivals in summer (with the exception of Zerrissen , which was only added to the set list during the tour). The tour's setlist included all tracks from the album Ein neue Tag (with the exception of No matter where ) as well as selected tracks from Es ist Juli , the band's first album.
Relationship to DVD
In addition to Münster, the live recordings for the DVD also took place at the Zenith in Munich (March 5, 2007) and on the Schiffenberg in Gießen ; however, the latter were not used. The double DVD thus consists of one DVD each with the entire concert from Münster and the entire concert from Munich. No recordings from Munich were used for the live album. Two tracks from the first July album that were played at the concert, Ich verschwinde and Anders , were cut for publication on CD.
The DVD was also released in a deluxe edition with 2 DVDs (content identical to that of the standard DVDs) and a double CD with the complete minster concert. In contrast to the live album, the two missing songs are included here.
