(2007)

A new day is the second album by the Giessen band Juli .

Emergence

After the band had spent almost a year and a half on tour, they moved back to Bochum at the end of 2005, where they had already recorded a large part of their first album. It was here that the new album Ein neue Tag was created in a total of three recording phases by summer 2006 , which was finally released on October 13, 2006.

Sales and chart placements

The album release was accompanied by extensive marketing and media interest, which resulted in it being rewarded with over 200,000 pre-orders. In Germany it reached first place on the album charts.

tour

Some of the songs on the album were already included in the band's program during their few appearances in spring and summer 2006 while they were working on the album. At a live broadcast concert on VIVA on October 12, 2006, they presented all songs to their audience for the first time. After a few secret concerts for radio stations, the One New Day tour began on January 20, 2007 and took the band through Germany, Austria and Switzerland until the beginning of March. The band played other concerts in May 2007, mainly in Austria and for the first time in almost three years in their hometown of Giessen . From June 2007, as in previous years, there were numerous festival appearances, including at Live Earth in Hamburg and at the Arena of Pop in Mannheim.

At the end of September 2007 a live album and a double DVD were released under the title Ein neue Tag - live . The recordings were made on February 28th at the concert in Münster and on March 5th in Munich .

A second tour of Germany took place in November 2007, which took the band mainly to cities away from the usual concert halls. However, this tour began less successfully than the first; some concerts (Kassel, Kempten) were moved to smaller halls.
