Bon Voyage is the third studio album by Ich + Ich . It was released by Universal on November 13, 2009 . It entered the German album charts at number 1 and received double platinum in Germany. The band's single Pflaster was also the first to take first place and was also awarded the gold record. A deluxe edition with an additional DVD was also published by Gute Reise . This includes five live pieces, an interview and a short documentary. In the spring of 2010, the "Gute Reise-Tournee" began. Annette Humpe still avoids the live performances because of her great stage fright , so Adel Tawil sings alone.

Music genre

The style is described as pop with soul and rock influences and electronic beats. Adel Tawil's voice is a bit darker and rougher than before. In the universe a trumpet is used.

The reviews for the album varied. On Laut.de , Artur Schulz called Gute Reise “the perfect record for couples”. The pop story is “full to the brim with heartache. That ranges from the most successful to completely unsuccessful, and I + I bob somewhere in between with their nicely produced songs. ”Two out of five stars were awarded. On www.swr.de, Deborah Schamuhn praised the "expressive" voice of Tawil, which has developed positively through the live performances. Overall, the “recipe for success will be retained”. The music week emphasized the lack of “cheap word modules and clichés” in the texts, instead one found “idiosyncratic language images”. Overall, the record contains a "highly infectious cocktail of keyboards and electronics, indulgent strings and urban rhythms". Only the thank you , based on the swing , seems out of place because of the text.

Because the single Universum reached number 10, Gute Reise is the third album in a row that contained at least two top ten singles. Thanks to its good chart history, Gute Reise became the fourth most successful album in 2010 in Germany.
