Can You Feel the Love Tonight (English for: "Can you feel love tonight ", in the German dubbing called "Can it really be love") is a song from the Disney cartoon The Lion King from 1994. It was composed by Elton John ; Tim Rice wrote the lyrics . The song won the 1995 Oscar for best movie song.
The song describes the relationship between the main character Simba and his childhood sweetheart Nala, who meet again after many years, both from the point of view of the two and from the point of view of Simba's friends Pumbaa and Timon, whom he met after fleeing into the jungle.
