This discography is an overview of the musical works of the British singer , composer and pianist Elton John . According to the sources, he has sold 350 to 450 million records in his career, over 27.8 million of them in his home country alone. Elton John's most successful release is the 1997 single Candle in the Wind with around 37 million units sold. With over 9.5 million records sold, Elton John is one of the performers with the highest number of records sold in Germany .
