Most of the songs on the album are previously released singles from previous studio albums by Elton John. Only You Can Make History (Young Again) was produced for the album and released as a single.

Guest contributions by George Michael and Kiki Dee can be found on the recording . George Michael can be heard on Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me , while Kiki Dee is on True Love .
