Mirrors is an English band from Brighton formed in 2009 by James New and Ally Young.

style

The music of the group of four is shaped by the use of analog synthesizers . In terms of style, it can be classified in the field of synth-pop , electro-funk . The group describes their music as "electronic soul". The band members always wear bespoke suits during their performances and in photos. Musically, the band draws inspiration from groups such as Kraftwerk , OMD , Depeche Mode and Blancmange .

history

In November / December 2010 the Mirrors played their first tour in Great Britain and as a support act on OMD's European tour. On their tour in April and May 2011, they also performed in Germany.

On March 18, 2011 her first album was released with the title Lights and Offerings .

On July 8, 2011, the band performed during Berlin Fashion Week at Stylenite , a cultural event by designer Michael Michalsky , to which he regularly invites well-known bands or promising new discoveries. The event was broadcast live on the Internet.

In October 2011, Ally Young announced that he was leaving the band.
