German Comedy Award 2014

The 18th awarding of the German Comedy Prize 2014 took place on October 21, 2014 as part of the 24th International Cologne Comedy Festival in Cologne . For the first time, Carolin Kebekus moderated the German Comedy Prize Awards.

The recording of the award ceremony was broadcast on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10:15 p.m. on the RTL television station.

Again, prizes were awarded in 14 categories. While the personal category Best Moderation , which was reintroduced last year , is no longer awarded, the film category Best TV Comedy was introduced. It was last awarded in 2012. The Best Comedy Event category, introduced in 2008, has been replaced by the Best Hidden Camera format category . It was awarded for the first time and only once in 2009.

The independent jury of experts, chaired by comedian Olaf Schubert , decided on the award winners in the various categories on the day of the award ceremony. The jury consists of author and comedian David Anschütz, TV creative Jens Bujar, executive producer at Prime Productions Holger Hoffmann, producer at Bantry Bay Productions Gerda Müller, producer at Biller & Vass TV production Thomas Vass and the managing director of Köln Comedy GmbH Ralf Günther .
