Hatch! Die Woche und ich is a TV show on Sat.1 hosted by Luke Mockridge . The first season started in March 2015; four seasons were broadcast until December 2017. The fifth season began broadcasting on October 21, 2018.

concept

The late night show is usually opened by a single player. While Mockridge leads through the show with stand-up comedy , various clips are shown, some of which are recorded with guests, often among them Joyce Ilg . Mockridge also welcomes guests live in the studio during the show, with whom he carries out studio actions. There are also musical contributions.

The entries also include actions in which Mockridge gets into bizarre or dangerous situations. According to Mockridge, the entire show should be a copy of TV total . Since the second season, the show has been totally recorded with a different backdrop in the former TV studio.

criticism

Quotemeter.de generally praised the show after the first broadcast, but criticized the rather “loveless and ugly studio”. The stage only contains "countless lamps, plus an oversized show logo and a slapped sofa". Furthermore, there is no connection between the title of the program and the actual content of the program, since Mockridge only announces the clips with a brief connection with the current events.

In 2018, Luke! Die Woche and I were awarded the German Television Prize for the best late night show.
