Johannes Oerding (born December 26, 1981 in Münster ) is a German pop singer and songwriter .

Life

Johannes Oerding was born in Münster, Westphalia, and grew up in Geldern-Kapellen on the Lower Rhine .

He is in a relationship with the singer Ina Müller and lives in Hamburg.

Oerding first gained attention in 2009 when he a. a. acted in the opening act on the tours of the Simply Red and Ich + Ich groups . This was followed by a sold out solo tour and on August 21, 2009 his first solo album entitled First Choice , which rose to number 39 in the German album charts. On January 28, 2011 his second solo album Boxer was released , on January 11, 2013 the third forever from now .

On September 26, 2013, Oerding represented Hamburg at the Bundesvision Song Contest 2013 and took second place with nothing goes . He performed the same song on January 12th on Inas Nacht , which was released along with nine other guest appearances on the bonus CD Inas kleine Nachtmusik with Ina Müller's album Ich bin die . Oerding was also seen in Joe Cocker's opening act for the Fire It Up Tour in 2013 and as a guest on the Scorpions' Unplugged Tour in 2014 .

In 2015, Oerding was awarded a gold record for more than 100,000 copies sold for his albums Forever from now and Everything is burning in Germany . For his album Alles brennt he received a platinum award in 2016 for over 200,000 units sold.

The Live Entertainment Award for the best indoor tour of 2017 followed in spring 2018.

His fifth album Kreise was released on May 5, 2017 . The single of the same name was released on March 24, 2017. The album Kreise has also received a gold record for over 100,000 units sold to date. In 2018 Oerding accompanied Peter Maffay as a guest star on his MTV unplugged tour.

In 2019 Oerding was part of the TV show Sing mein Song , together with Michael Patrick Kelly , Álvaro Soler , Jeanette Biedermann , Wincent Weiss , Milow and Jennifer haben . He then said of his participation: "It was the best experience that I have had with other colleagues - very intense and friendly."

Oerding wrote many songs for Peter Maffay's album Jetzt! (2019).

On March 29, 2019, his single was released on good days . His sixth album Konturen was released on November 8, 2019 .
