I am is the eighth solo studio album by Ina Müller . It was released by Sony Music in 2016 . All songs were created through her collaboration with Frank Ramond (lyrics) and Johannes Oerding (music).
content
Autobiographically shaped songs are the focus of the album. It ranges from the constant striving for improvement ( that’s it ) to the fear of being judged old ( if you get up now ) to a song to an unborn child ( how you would be ). Room 410 describes the thoughts of what may have happened in a hotel room over the course of a year. This is followed by the realization that you cannot discard your origins in a village: you can leave your village, but the village never leaves you ( village remains village ).
Linguistically, the songs range from new creations from idioms ( day one after day off ) to colloquial expressions ( always one more like you ).
The edition with the bonus CD Inas kleine Nachtmusik contains ten live recordings of guest appearances from Müller's show Inas Nacht from October 2008 to November 2015, in which Ina Müller sings in the background .
