Female, Single, 40 is the third solo studio album by Ina Müller . It was released in 2006 by 105 Music GmbH (Sony Music). The album title alludes to the psychological thriller Female, Single, Young Looking ... from 1992 on.

Almost all of the songs were composed and written by Frank Ramond , Hardy Kayser and Ina Müller. According to the title of the album, it is about women of Müller's age. This ranges from regretted tattoos ( bye bye ass antlers ) to separation problems ( that doesn't happen to me anymore ) to the realization that you can also be abandoned because of an older person. For some titles, the text only gives an explanatory continuation: Dear Orangenhaut - “than no profile at all”, Hopefully the summer will soon be over - then flip flops will no longer have to be endured, When Thomas cooks - “then I cook too, and that inside ". In the case of Halfway , the knowledge can only be expressed in Low German tinged: “not young, not old: somehow that bushes in between”.

Frank Ramond and Hardy Kayser produced the album, and Michael Bötticher was in charge of production coordination. Sound mixing and mastering are by Jeo in Jeopark. The cover photo is from Mathias Bothor, the Polaroid photos in the booklet are from Sven Grot.

Trivia

  • The hidden track Wenn Thomas cooks (then I cook too - internally) follows track number 9 after a break of 1:23. The cover correctly records the total running time as 7:52
