Contours is the sixth studio album by Johannes Oerding . It was released on November 8, 2019 on Columbia Records .

Emergence

The process of creating the album turned out to be difficult for Oerding. He said:

“This time I had bigger problems with it because after all the live performances and the success of the last record I forgot to take notes and start writing. I had spoiled it all as we say in northern Germany. At some point I panicked because I had no idea. I thought, I can't think of anything anymore, I have no more output and I'll stop. "

Finally, during a guest performance in Turkey, he remembered the tune of Good Days , which marked the start of the album production. According to Oerding, the album also has “socially critical approaches”. He speaks out against xenophobia, for example.

reception

The album was the first from Oerding to reach number one in the German album charts . It also reached eighth place in Switzerland and 18th place in Austria . On good days , which was released as the first single in March 2019, reached number 45 in the charts in Germany and 85 in Switzerland.
