Louane
Louane (born November 26, 1996 in Hénin-Beaumont ; real name Anne Peichert ), also known under the stage name Louane Emera , is a French singer and actress .
Life
Louane grew up with four sisters and one brother in Hénin-Beaumont. Her family has Brazilian , Polish , German and Portuguese roots. Louane became interested in music from an early age and, at the age of eight, took fifth place in a music competition. At the age of twelve she took part in the casting show L'école des stars and reached the semifinals. In 2012 she founded the band Dazzling Smile with friends and gave herself the stage name Louane Emera the following year .
As Louane , she took part in the second season of the French talent show The Voice, la plus belle voix , in which she impressed in the blind auditions with the title Un homme heureux by William Sheller . At 16, she was the youngest participant in the show where she was coached by Louis Bertignac (ex- Téléphone ). She received special attention during the fourth live show, on which she sang John Lennon's Imagine ; she dedicated the title to her father, who had died almost three months earlier. She reached the semi-finals at The Voice, la plus belle voix and went on tour with the other semi-finalists. She released her first single, Jour 1 , and contributed to the album La bande à Renaud - Vol. 2 by Renaud, the title La mère à Titi . Her mother, who signed up for The Voice, la plus belle voix, died the following year . She dedicated the title Maman to her mother .
Éric Lartigau cast them in his 2014 feature film Do you understand the Béliers? as a teenager Paula, who loves singing, but has to choose between her passion and her deaf family. For her portrayal, Peichert, who learned sign language for six months for the role , was awarded a César in 2015 in the category of best young actress . She also won a Prix Lumières for Best Young Actress .
On March 2, 2015, their debut album Chambre 12 was released , which reached number 1 on the French album charts. The album's first single, Avenir , also reached the top of the French singles charts. Avenir landed at number 3 in the German single charts and reached platinum status in Germany in 2017 .
Louane had her first child in spring 2020.
