Eric Lartigau
Éric Lartigau (* 1964 in Paris ) is a French director .
Life
Lartigau first worked in an auction house and became the chauffeur of director Pascal Thomas in the 1980s . For Thomas he finally worked as an assistant director, including in the film Les maris, les femmes, les amants (1989), in which he also played a supporting role. Lartigau also worked as assistant director for the directors Emir Kusturica , Édouard Molinaro and Diane Kurys .
Lartigau began working as a director for commercials and realized works for television, including the series Les Guignols de l'info (1988) and H (2000–2001). His first feature-length film as a director was the crime comedy Mais qui a tué Pamela Rose? with Kad Merad and Olivier Baroux , whom he also cast in the leading roles in his next comedy (World) All Inclusive . His 2006 comedy Prête-moi ta main with Alain Chabat and Charlotte Gainsbourg received three César nominations in actor categories. His first film drama was in 2010, a night screen about a photographer who becomes a murderer, takes on the identity of another man and goes into hiding. Lartigau not only directed, but also wrote the script with Laurent de Bartillat . In 2011 they both received a César nomination in the Best Adapted Screenplay category . A second César nomination, this time in the Best Film category , followed in 2015 for the comedy film Do you understand the Béliers? , which was also a great success with over five million viewers.
Lartigau is in a relationship with Marina Foïs . The relationship has two sons.
