Olivier Baroux (actually Olivier Marie ; born January 5, 1964 in Caen ) is a French comedian , screenwriter and film director .

Life

Baroux spent a strictly Catholic childhood in Normandy and then worked on the radio. He met Kad Merad at the OÜI FM station in 1991 and appeared with him as the comedian duo Kad et Olivier and KDO . From 1999 he was an actor in films such as Mais qui a tué Pamela Rose? (2003) and RRRrrrr !!! (2004) to see, in 2006 played a genie in a bottle in Isnogud - The Bad Grand Vizier .

Since 2007 he has also worked as a director with varying degrees of success. His most famous film was Fasting in Italian ; he often plays along himself. In 2012 he brought out FBI - Female Body Inspectors , which fell through criticism despite a high-profile cast of Kad Merad , Omar Sy , Laurent Lafitte and Audrey Fleurot . For the third part of the Les Tuche series, which started in 2011 with Die Tuschs - Mit Karacho nach Monaco! Baroux was awarded the Audience Award at the César Awards in 2019 .

Baroux is also active as a voice actor.
