Laurent Lafitte (born August 22, 1973 in Fresnes ) is a French actor.

Life

Laurent Lafitte is a graduate of the Lycée Saint-Jean-de-Passy in Paris. He studied acting at the Classe Libre du Cours Florent and at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris with Muriel Mayette and Philippe Adrien . He continued his studies in London at the Guildford School of Acting , where he a. a. Took courses in singing and dance. In London he made his English theatrical debut in William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing . On his return from London he played in the TV series Classe mannequin on the side of Vanessa Demouywhich made him instantly popular in France, as well as in films by Lionel Delplanque, François Favart and Guillaume Canet . He then embodied several supporting roles in cinema and television films.

In 2007 he was the first director of the film Qu'elle aille au diable, Meryl Streep! behind the camera. The film with Arthur Igual and Mélanie Doutey in the leading roles was shown at the Festival de théâtre Nava in Limoux .

Since 1994, Lafitte has appeared repeatedly on the Parisian theatrical stages, including at Le Splendid , the Théâtre de l'Ouest parisien , the Théâtre de Paris and the Théâtre des Mathurins . He had his debut in the Comédie-Française in 2012 in Gogol's comedy The Marriage . Since then he has played at the Comédie-Française practically every year, the last time in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet in the role of Benvolio in 2018 . Since 2012 he has been a permanent member of the Comédie-Française ( Pensionnaire à la Comédie-Française ). In 2016, Lafitte hosted the opening and closing events of the Cannes Film Festival .

Since 2012, Lafitte has been dubbed by Marcus Off .
