Albert Dupontel

Albert Dupontel (born January 11, 1961 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye , France ) is a French comedian , actor and director .

Life

After studying medicine at the Hôpital Bichat-Claude-Bernard in Paris , Dupontel went to the École du Théâtre national de Chaillot in Paris, where he studied for the next two years and played minor roles (1986-88). In 1989 he was briefed by Ariane Mnouchkine .

He began his acting career as a stand-up comedian . In 2018, his film Au revoir là-haut was awarded five Césars , including best director, best actor and best novel adaptation (together with Pierre Marichal) and nominated in seven other categories.
