action

From one day to the next, Antoine questions everything that has been achieved so far. The advertising man is fed up with the lying flattery towards his wealthy customers. And apparently not much remains of his love for his wife Cécile. At his birthday party, he doesn't mince his words anymore and rudely abuses his friends. On the same evening he leaves his wife and children. After a short stop at his neurologist, he made his way to Ireland. There he visits his father, a passionate fisherman with whom he has had a hypothermic relationship since he was 13, and tries to talk to him. On a fishing trip together, Antoine collapses and worries his father. Antoine tells of his incurable illness and his intention to die. He was mean to those around him so that no one would mourn him after his death.

Locations

The landscape of the Connemara region of western Ireland served as the backdrop for the scenes in Ireland. All other recordings were made in France, more precisely in the Départments Manche and Yvelines as well as in the capital Paris .

“For the final part of the film, however, director Jean Becker came up with a cinematic, unreal, melodramatic twist that dramatically and emotionally damages his main character and his film. In the end, "days or hours" has become an ambiguous (miss) pleasure. What a shame ..."
